Best Friends and the Lake

So I am in my final week at home before I leave for Mississippi. As many of you know all summer I had been planning to go to Colorado with the Hills and their daughter, Mary Lyn and her family. About 2 weeks before the trip we had to cancel it for many different reasons. It was heartbreaking because I was really looking forward to the trip. In the end it was a wise decision. The timing was not the best. I have 4 projects that are due the first Monday of class. If you know me well this does stress me out. I am working hard and they will be done!

But to the exciting news of the weekend. I was able to see Leslie and Sarah Marie! They have a yearly family weekend at the lake and I got invited. How could I pass up a time to see some of my best friends at Auburn and not to mention the lake! So I jumped in. Although it was just a day it was so much fun. We played in the water, rode the boat, had some gentle tubing action, and enjoyed jumping off the pier. Not to mention I got to work on my tan! It was just a blast. I am excited to know that I will see Leslie at Beth's wedding in about a month and that Sarah Marie and I will be living only 2 hours apart instead of 4!

Today was my last day at Selwood. It was so sad. I cried and cried when I left. Mrs Hill and I did yoga together like we have done almost every day this summer. I have so enjoyed that time with her. We are able to spend it praying together and laughing together. Dell and I are like a pair together. As we hugged we both just cried and cried. I know that one day I will return!

I never thought that I would actually have a blog...

So I have to admit that this is a little weird for me. I have always enjoyed reading everyone else's blogs but I never thought that I would get one. I secretly wanted one a little bit and for some reason I told a couple of friends who said that it would be a great idea. So I gave in and said why not! They tell me that it is addicting...great one more thing for me to do instead of study while in Grad School. But I'm on board!

I am home alone for the weekend while the rest of the family is at a shower for Beth and Michael. It's not all bad having the house to myself except when mom leaves the frig empty. She did that to me this weekend. What cook? Mmmm. I thought that I would enjoy not cooking for a few more days. There went that great idea!

I have 2 days left of work. I really can't believe that the summer is over this fast. It has been fun with lots of different things going on. Weddings almost every weekend, the beach a couple of times, lake a few times, and random visits with friends. We are all starting to get sprinkled all over the United States. I am accepting sky miles if anyone would like to donate! Haha!
