It is Great to be Home for Christmas!

So, semester one of grad school is behind me. All went well and I am now enjoying one of the perks of still being in school... Christmas vacation. I think that this is the first year that I have fully appreciated the break. This past semester has given me a taste of the "real world" and I can say that I am not ready for it to hit. I have one more semester and then I have a few big decisions to make ... like, do I stay in Starkville for another year and work on my masters full time or do I find a job and finish my masters on the side although that will take a little longer. But I will be saving those decisions for later on and I am going to enjoy my break from school.

After spending the weekend in Tuscaloosa with Dads family I arrived in Sylacauga late Sunday night. I am glad that I decided to stay in Tuscaloosa for a few extra hours. I was able to go tacky Christmas caroling with friends from Trinity. Fun times are promised when you combine the Lucys, Brewbakers and Farnsworths.

If you know me well you know that I love to live by a schedule. Well, I decided that it is a good thing to live by the seat of your pants once in a while. Monday afternoon I got a text message from Nathan Lucy telling me that I needed to come to Birmingham for the Red Mountain Christmas concert and good fellowship. So I debated for a couple of hours if I would go or not. I made the best decision and decided that I would go. I packed in about 15 minutes and left Sylacauga with an overnight bag in hand but not sure where I would be spending the night. It was the perfect night. I got to hang out with Leslie, Sarah Marie and Anna. After two years the four of us were together again. Although we did not get into deep conversation just being around those three girls was worth the trip. Not only did I get to see them many other friends were there. I spent the night with my former roommate, Glenna. We stated up way too late talking and watching movies.

The next day we had lunch with another roommate, Laura Jane. We went to an Auburn favorite, Momma G's. They just opened in Birmingham. Wow, a Momma's Love has never tasted so good. As I was sitting at lunch my friend Catie walked in. We were both kinda bummed that we were not going to see each other because our schedules did not work out. The look on my face was priceless when I saw her. I think that she was stalking me.... And later that afternoon I got measured for my bridesmaid dress so that I will be in her wedding next November. To round out the day... I got to hang out for a couple of hours with my other half. CBJ and I spend about 2.5 hours talking and laughing. We are so much alike that it is scary. It was the biggest blessing getting to have lots of serious talk with her and get some thoughts on the decisions that I will be making over the next few months. Although, she really pushing for me to move to Birmingham.

Well, it is off to Birmimgham. We are going to start celebrating Christmas! Merry Christmas!!!!!
