A couple of weekends ago I went to Jackson to meet up with what I consider to be some of my best friends from college/friends that I will have for the rest of my life. I never knew when we first met what these girls would bring to my life. But they have changed it in ways that are unexplainable. Sarah Marie and I both live in Mississippi and Leslie in Nashville.
Going to Jackson is always a highlight because I feel like I am going to the big city. I drove down early Saturday morning just in time for breakfast at my favorite local Jackson spot, Broadstreet. Then they graciously allowed this small town girl the joys of a Target run. The rest of the afternoon was sat around talking, eating cucumber dip and drinking some spiked lemonade. It was the perfect afternoon.
Then the boy (SMarie's boy) decided to join in on the fun. I am sure that he was overwhelmed by us but he handled it with ease. We approved of him. The rest of the weekend basically included lots of good food (Julip and Berry Berry Yogurt). It was difficult to return to reality that Monday morning but I always know that there will be another visit soon.
